Second Preference for Exceptional Ability Aliens and Advanced Degree Professionals

PERM을 통한 노동허가서와 이민청원서를 승인받은 후에도 영주권 문호가 풀릴 때까지 상당한 시간을 기다려야 하는 취업이민 3순위와 달리, 취업이민 2순위는 현재까지 문호의 개방에 영향 및 적용을 받지 않는다는 큰 잇점이 있습니다.

석사 이상의 고학력 소유자, 혹은 비록 석사 이상의 학위가 없다고 할지라도 학사학위와 해당 전공분야에 5년 이상의 경력이 있으면 고학력 소유자로 인정을 받아 2순위 취업이민 신청 자격이 주어집니다.

특히 과학, 예능, 혹은 경영부분에 탁월한 능력 인정자는 공인된 학교의 졸업장이나 수료증, 수상증명서, 특출한 기능에 대한 증명서, 또는 10년 이상의 전문직에 근무했다는 전/현직 고용주의 편지, 그리고 자격증 혹은 전문협회회원증 등 증빙서류를 통해서 노동청 승인 없이 곧바로 이민청원서 신청이 가능합니다. 이 때 신청인은 반드시 미국 경제, 문화, 교육과 복지 등에 이바지 할 수 있음을 증명해야 합니다.

1. An official academic record showing the alien has a degree, diploma, certificate or similar award from a college, university, school or other institution of learning relating to the area of exceptional ability;
2. Letters documenting at least ten years of full-time experience in the occupation being sought;
3. A license to practice the profession or certification for a particular profession or occupation;
4. Evidence that the alien has commanded a salarly or other remuneration for services which demonstrates exceptional ability;
5. Membership in professional association;
6. Recognition for achievements and significant contributions to the industry or field by peers, government entities, professional or business organizations
